Updated: Jun 9, 2021

Jilly grew up in the kitchen, and has always had a passion for baking. Enjoy her delightfully simple, and favorite, classic fudgy chocolate chip brownies made with cocoa powder.

  • 1/2 Cup Melted Butter

  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder

  • 1 Cup Sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour

  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350° F Bake in an 8x8 parchment lined pan for 20-22 minutes

  1. Add 1/2 Cup of melted butter to a mixing bowl and slowly incorporate cocoa powder and sugar, mixing well.

  2. Once the butter, cocoa, and sugar are thoroughly combined mix in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.

  3. Next add vanilla and salt. Slowly incorporate the flour 1/4 cup at a time until combined.

  4. Add chocolate chips and bake in an 8x8 parchment lined pan at 350° F for 20-22 minutes

Expert Tips:

  • Slowly incorporate the cocoa, eggs, and flour to prevent lumps

  • Heat the butter just long enough to melt, otherwise you run the risk of cooking your eggs in the batter prior to baking
